A little about Mrs. Copps
Hi! I am so excited to be your child's school counselor. This is my second year at Scott Elementary, and my fourth year in the Thomasville City School System. Having been born and raised in Thomasville, I am proud to call it home. I attended Valdosta State University where I received my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education and also my Masters of Education in School Counseling.
Counseling Services Available
- Individual Counseling: Teacher, Parent, or Self-Referral
-Group Counseling: could include: anger management; positive behavior, leadership, grief, divorce, anxiety, etc.
-Classroom-Based Counseling: Will take place every Friday during specials. These lessons will meet the career, academic, and person/social needs of the students.

*February is Black History Month. Mr. Beaty is quizzing the students every morning with a trivia question. The homeroom with the most points at the end of the month will receive a reward from Mr. Beaty.
*Students 1st- 5th will be receiving their College and Career Readiness lessons during TAA time during February and March.
*Georgia Milestone Assessment will take place the weeks of April 18-22 and April 25-29.
*Parents- If your student has perfect attendance for the month of February, you have a chance to win a Parent Gift Basket (located in the front office).
